NPCA’s Online Trade Mark
Directory Has Been Updated
l National Paint and Coatings Association’s (NPCA) online trademark directory has recently been revised and now contains more than 7,000 common law marks relating to the paint and coatings industry. The directory can be found in the Resource section of NPCA’s web site—www.paint.org.
The revised trademark directory searches common law marks via company name, trademark name, and/or the class types of goods that are listed. Previously, the site listed both common law marks and registered trademarks; however, NPCA no longer maintains any information on registered trademarks. The site also links to organization’s web site. Users can search for any registered trademarks that may relate to the paint and coatings industry at: http://www.uspto.gov/.
